This year the autumn holidays fall on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October 2026. Whether you are heading off to see family, to a city or out into autumn nature, plan your journey there and back in advance. We bring you trip inspiration and practical tips before departing from Florenc.
Choose a programme to suit the weather and your children's age
When choosing a trip, think about who you are travelling with. Younger children usually benefit from a shorter programme and room for breaks. For a longer stay, you can set aside one main experience per day and leave the rest free. Autumn also calls for a backup programme indoors.
Those interested in technology may find inspiration in the Transport Museum in Dresden, which presents travel by road, rail, water and air. You can combine a visit to the museum with a walk around the city. Before buying tickets, check the programme and opening hours for your chosen day and look up a suitable bus connection in both directions.
Search for your journey there and back
The connection search is on the florenc.cz home page. If you want to depart from Florenc specifically, set the option Florenc terminal only in the From field. Then choose your destination, travel date and start the search. Plan your return just as carefully; on a day trip, also allow for the journey from the city centre or from the attraction to the bus station.
Before buying a ticket, check the exact departure and arrival stop, any transfers and the conditions of the selected carrier. For children's tickets, pushchairs or larger luggage, check the rules in advance. The range of connections and prices vary by day and availability.
Get to the terminal with time to spare
Before your journey, open the current departures and check your platform. Compare the information again with the information board when you arrive at the terminal. Adjust how much time you allow according to your carrier's instructions. On your first visit or when travelling with children and larger luggage, allow more time.
You can reach Florenc by metro lines B and C. If someone is driving you, look at the K+R and parking options in advance. The Traveller's Guide and the information desk in Hall 1 will help you find your way on site. Keep your tickets and the documents you need at hand, your phone charged, and pack a drink and a small snack for the journey.
