Key message

Essential information about the new hall

Prague Florenc coach station faces a major transformation. The check-in function moves into a new building with a striking roofline, following the winning design by studio Upstructure.

The concept also reuses the arches of the Negrelli viaduct for community, culture and commerce, bringing new life to the surrounding public realm.

The new check-in hall is planned as a temporary, demountable building for the Florenc21 redevelopment. Published information puts completion by 2030.

City connections Stronger ties between the terminal and Karlín and the city centre.

A new quality for the terminal

What the new Florenc brings

According to published proposals, a new check-in hall will be built as part of the wider Florenc21 area. The aim is a more modern passenger environment, clearer orientation and stronger links between the terminal and the city.

New check-in hall

The new hall aims to give passengers a dignified environment, operational and administrative space plus complementary retail and services.

Modular approach

The winning concept uses a clear steel structure with separate modules for back-of-house spaces and retail.

Better connection to the city

Redevelopment should connect Florenc, Karlín and wider central Prague with new public routes and spaces.

Active public realm

The vision adds streets, lively frontages and services, including revitalised space around the Negrelli viaduct.
